Hi there :)
How was your weekend? I hope it was wonderful. We had very nice weather here in the Detroit area! Nice and sunny and warm :)
Perfect for celebrating two special birthdays!! My second born son Colton turns 14 and my sweet hubby turns, well, I wont say :) Ill make him happy and say he turns 25, ha! They were both born on the same day! Colton said to us, "I should get to celebrate even more because I was born on the same day as dad" lol, too cute!!
But we had a lot of fun celebrating on Saturday. We went to Verizon to get Colton an new phone, then to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner (their favorite restaurant. Me, not so much!). But it is their day so they get to eat whatever they want. We also had cheesecake and glazed donuts. I definitely need to get back on my diet now, yikes!! I was terrible!!
Fall will be here before we know it.
I can deal with apples and sunflowers. But I cant bring out the pumpkins just yet. My flowers are still gorgeous!
Sunflowers and apples are so pretty together too :) They look so happy and bright on the breakfast table. Something I wouldn't mind waking up to!
Speaking of my boys, they are growing up way too fast!! For some reason, they always come into the bathroom while I am getting ready and talk to me. Not something I would expect teenagers to do! And they fight over who is going to be in there. I guess they must like me, lol. Though sometimes it doesn't feel that way. They wanted to take a picture with me too, what a shock! This is me with my oldest son Ashton. He is 15!!!!!! Look how much taller he is than me!
Ashton likes high school so far. I am so thankful for that! The only thing he doesn't like is walking to school. But I cant blame him for that! Who wants to be out walking at 6:30 in the morning? I will probably start driving him in the winter.
And here is me with the birthday boy!! I was making a stupid silly face and Colton was looking at me like I was stupid, lol! YES, his hair is blue. I dyed if for him :) I think it looks pretty cool :) Today is picture day so his hair will be blue in his pictures. He has the most beautiful crystal blue eyes and they stand out even more now.
Colton is in 8th grade this year. He is the oldest grade in his school so he's lucky. He kind of likes school. Until he has to get up at 5:45, lol. Then I get to hear about how school is sooo stupid and how much he hates it, lol. And I just say well Im not too fond of getting up this early either. But I sure do get a lot more done when I get up that early. So that is a good thing.
It's bittersweet watching your kids grow up. But each stage has its fun parts. Teenagers definitely test your patience. But they can also be pretty darn cool :)
Hope you have a great, productive week :)
