Hello! Welcome to my "new" blog! I figured, since I have changed the name of my blog, I needed to change my blog's URL too! Bunny Rose Cottage is a part of my past. A very good part. I had so many wonderful memories in that home and in that part of my life. But my life has changed, a lot. And it is time to change my blog address too, not just the name :) Thank you so much for finding me here. I hope you will continue to follow my journey, here on this blog. I love all of my followers and I don't wamt tp lose any of you :) I merged all of the posts from my other blog to this one, so it is basically the same blog but with a different web address :) Love to you all and again, thank you!!

Goodbye my friends!

Hello :)  Wow, it has been forever since I have opened my blog!
But I felt it was only fair to come in and say a proper goodbye to all of you.  You have all been such a wonderful support system over the last seven years.  Some of you have become such wonderful friends to me.  Julie, Amanda, Kerrie, Celeste and on and on!  Thank you so much for your loyalty and friendships.  After much thought, I have decided to stop blogging.  I am at such a different point in my life now.  Blogging was taking up so much of my time and became so stressful.  Keeping a perfectly clean home, coming up with new things to blog about, taking and editing pictures.  It just stopped being fun.  I want to devote my time to my wonderful kids and my amazing, supportive husband.  I have been so much happier since I stopped blogging.  I feel at peace with my decision.  I will miss you all very much.  I love you all and am so grateful for you.  Seven years is a long time to blog and it has been wonderful.  But like I said, I am at a different point in my life.  Interests have changed, things in my life have changed.  So it is time to say goodbye to this chapter.  I will keep my blog open in case anyone wants to visit my past posts.  I hope you all are happy and enjoying your life!

Hi there :)  Hope this finds you well and that you had a wonderful Valentine's Day!  Mine was very nice.  My honey bunny spoiled me with TONS of flowers, a box of chocolates and chocolate covered strawberries :)
One bouquet is pictured above.  I broke everything down into three bouquets.
I didn't take pictures of the beautiful chocolate covered strawberries :(  We were getting ready to walk out the door when he gave me everything.  When we got home it was dark outside and I wanted to eat them, lol.  But they were beautiful.  Their were four of them and I ate them all.  But I was good with my chocolates, I shared them .
Beautiful pink roses.  I love them.  I put them all together.
I have been taking a break from blogs and it has been really nice.  I don't know why but I have been really bored with this blog lately :(  I have actually been contemplating starting a new one dedicated to makeup, hair, fashion, health etc.  I mean, you can only show your house for so long, lol.  Then it becomes repetitive.  So what I am going to do, is start posting things like that on this blog and see how it goes.  I'm going to start a favorites series and break it into categories like makeup, etc.  I will start it with my next post.  I LOVE things like that!!  Especially when it gets closer to spring.  So I hope you will come back for those posts and if not, its ok :)  I will see how it goes and maybe start a new blog!  Only bad thing, their may be too many pics of me, lol.  I will see if Emily wants to be a model too!
Thank you so much for visiting me today!
Love and hugs,

Happy Hearts Week!!

Hi there!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  We are still experiencing very cold temps here in Michigan.  My kids didn't have school again on Friday.  To say I am ready for spring is an understatement.  I have been doing a lot of exercising to get ready for the warmer months.  As well as shopping for warm weather clothes, shoes and makeup!  I can at least do that while I wait!  All I can do is plug along and wait.
That being said, we are now in the week of love :)  Valentine's day is only four days away.  After that, Easter!
I don't really have a lot of Valentine's day decor.  But what I do have is very special to me.  I do have a few new pieces this year.  But they are things I will keep out all year round.
A few months ago, I was visiting one of my favorite blogs, Heaven's Walk.  Laurie is a wonderful friend and her home is stunning.  She lives in Michigan like me :)  On her post a few months ago, she shared a very personal, scary story with us.  Her grace and positive outlook is something I will never forget.  I don't think I could handle what she went through as gracefully as she did.  During this difficult time, Laurie started making these beautiful clay sacred hope hearts.  She offered them for sale with a portion going to charity. I had to have one in support of Laurie.  Not to mention they are just gorgeous!  Please go HERE to read Laurie's story if you haven't already.  She is such an inspiration to all women!!
I have mentioned Kerrie of Sea Cottage a lot on my blog lately!  And, I am talking about her again today :)  Kerrie had a giveaway on her blog last week and I won!!  It has been forever since I signed up for a giveaway too!  I was lucky enough to win one of her sea washed hearts!  She also included the darling silver heart ornament and some of her tags.
Since I already had a grey sea washed heart, I chose a pink one for my prize.  One is Dave and one is me :)  Aren't they pretty?  So romantic looking.

I love the way Kerrie describes things, her wording is always so beautiful.  Another reason I love her blog so much :)

You cant forget the candy this week either :) :)  Savannah requested these conversation hearts, lol.
Mmmmm, these jelly hearts are my favorite!
I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!  Do you have any plans yet?  All I really want to do is go to The Cheesecake Factory with my honey and maybe a movie!  Not sure what we will do for our anniversary yet.  I guess we will wait an see.  Maybe we will wait until the weather gets warmer to celebrate!
Thank you so much for visiting me today!

inspiration through the winter part 2

Wow, can you believe it is February??
Twenty four more days until March :)  In my last post, I had started a little series about being inspired during the winter.  I cant be outside, doing the things I want to do right now.  But I can plan for spring and create pretty things inside my home to celebrate my favorite season.

Last winter, I purchased a book by Jeanne d' Arc Living called Fairytale Easter.  It is my absolute favorite book.  Full of inspiration and eye candy.  But it is also full of information!

My very very favorite holiday is Easter.  As the passage in the book says, it is the most important celebration in the Christian church.  Easter means so many things to me.  It is a time to rejoice.  I like to celebrate as grand as most people do for Christmas.  Easter is not near as commercialized.  I feel more free to celebrate the way I want to as opposed to the way I feel I have to.  I don't get that feeling at Christmastime, sadly.  I feel "forced" with Christmas and the true meaning gets lost.  Trying to be as good as everyone else with decor and things (mostly because of blogs!!).

I adore bunnies and have nearly 200 of them around my house!  Including three live ones :)  Bunnies are stress relievers, so calming.  You see little baby bunnies out and about in the spring which is a time of rebirth and new beginnings.  Another reason I love spring and Easter so much.
Hard to believe but in Fairytale Easter it says bunnies used to be a sign of evil!  How could those precious little fur balls ever be considered evil??  Thankfully that is no longer the case!!  But even if it was, I would never believe it!
Aren't the bunny eggs above cute?  Love them :)

This photo is actually from my JDA perpetual calendar, Days To Remember.  But it is so beautiful.  They have the prettiest eggs!!  I am so inspired by them.  And you cant find eggs like that in stores.  I do own a set of JDA Easter eggs.  They are to die for!!!  I will show them closer to Easter.  I showed them last February on my blog also.

Another gorgeous egg! the use of vintage lace and papers on this one.  It matches the napkins I used on my puffy hearts.  Luckily, I still have some of them :)

Last year  I redid 24 paper mache eggs.  They were the size of  regular chicken eggs.  This year, I wanted to do some of the large egg boxes shown in the book.  So far, I have bought two of them that are already white.  I'd like to get a few more.

We are gearing up for more snow starting tonight.  The perfect time to create spring things :)
Thank you for visiting me today!!

inspiration through the winter part 1...

Today is the coldest day in Michigan so far this winter.  Actually, it is the coldest day we have seen in many many years!  Minus nine degrees with a wind chill of minus 25.  But at least the sun is shining bright!  The kids are home from school again today.  They have never had this many snow days!

Since I cant make winter go away, I find inspiration in my home to get through the cold days.  The desk in my sitting room seems to be a favorite place for me to hang out and get lost in inspiring projects, magazines and thoughts.  My desk is the place that holds my favorite reading items and light crafting supplies.  I don't do heavy crafting there because I make such a mess!  But I lay out my items, write down what I want to do, etc..

Right now, the January issue of JDA Living is sitting there opened to the page shown above.  Though January doesn't scream spring (lol) the page above is a beautiful piece about spring and getting through the winter.  Just beautiful and I love to read it from time to time.
I mentioned in my last post about a gift I bought for myself.  A beautiful original painting by Kerrie of Sea Cottage.  Everything arrived so beautifully wrapped!
Isn't this beautiful??  I had admired this in Kerrie's shoppe since last summer!  It is called Wildflowers.  It spoke to me and really tugged at my heartstrings.  The simplicity of wildflowers, just so beautiful and unassuming.  They will always have a special place in my heart.  I am so glad I purchased this painting!!  It is even more beautiful in person. The canvas is thick and even the sides are painted!  I have it propped up on my desk for reassurance of warmer days to come.
I also purchased the roses sign.  It is so perfect!  Kerrie is beyond talented, check out her blog and shoppe if you haven't yet!
A pretty, tiny cupcake stand with a spring scene sits on the desk....
holding a little vase of bright pink blooms...
The serene aqua, whites and greys with a pop of pink makes my heart sing!  The colors in this room rejuvenate me.  It's like caffeine :)
A few pretty item laid out for some spring crafts that I am working on...
I broke this post down in to a few so I will share more next time :)
I don't know if you noticed but in my blog header, I added the text, "My home, my soft place to fall".  It better describes the feel of my blog going forward.  Our home should always be our soft place to fall,  No matter how big or how small.
I hope you all have a wonderful week!!
